Trademark Your Business Name, Logo or Slogan

Why get an e-commerce trademark? A good name is perhaps the most important asset for any business. It’s how your customers recognize you and what sets you apart from everyone else. Having a registered federal trademark that protects your name, logo, or slogan allows you to create valuable intellectual property. This license also attracts investment and establishes legitimacy in your business.

What do I do first?

The first step to take is to use our intuitive trademark wizard to fill out your federal trademark application form. This can be completed in only 5-10 minutes. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions while filling out your application. We are happy to help!

What happens next?

After you submit your form, we will assign you a licensed trademark attorney to work with personally on your e-commerce trademark application. Your attorney will review and analyze your submitted application for any missing or questionable information. Your attorney will then perform a thorough trademark search in the federal register, looking for any possible conflicts. If an issue is found, your attorney will give you a recommendation on how to proceed. Once any issues are resolved, your attorney will prepare and file your application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

How much does an E-Commerce Trademark cost?

For the E-Commerce Trademark Service, the application fee is $379. After your attorney reviews and files your application, there is an additional government filing fee of $250 to $350 per trademark class*.

*The standard filing fee as of 2021 is increasing from $275 to $350 per Class. There is also a way to attempt to file for just $250 per Class under these new rules, as long as your application meets certain criteria. We will do what we can to make sure that your application meets the reduced filing fee criteria to save you money, but please keep in mind that this is not always possible.
